Eileen Javed is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Administrative Program Director of Yellow Wood Recovery. She brings a depth of clinical, operational, and leadership experience across hospital nursing, research, and residential substance use treatment. A Registered Nurse by training, Eileen’s career reflects a longstanding commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and whole-person care.
Eileen founded Yellow Wood Recovery with a vision to create an addiction treatment program grounded in clinical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate care. Drawing on her extensive experience in nursing leadership and healthcare administration, she built an organization that prioritizes evidence-based treatment, regulatory compliance, and a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Prior to founding Yellow Wood Recovery, Eileen served as Director of Nursing at a substance use treatment center, where she held responsibility for:

Earlier in her career, Eileen worked as a postpartum nurse at a Vermont hospital serving all high-risk births in the tri-state area. This experience provided her with firsthand understanding of complex medical needs and the importance of specialized, patient-centered care.
Eileen also contributed to the Maternal Opioid Treatment: Human Experimental Research (MOTHER) study—the most comprehensive clinical trial examining the effects of buprenorphine and methadone on pregnant women and fetal development. This research experience deepened her expertise at the intersection of addiction medicine, maternal health, and evidence-based practice, informing her approach to treatment at Yellow Wood Recovery.
As CEO, Eileen champions frontline improvement efforts and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. She is deeply committed to elevating the patient experience, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring that care delivery remains grounded in integrity, safety, and respect.
